Garden like the presidents! – Grayson County Library

This workshop is aimed at recreating the garden of Martha Washington, first First Lady of the United States! We’ll be planting 18th-century heritage seeds known to have been grown at Mount Vernon, including:

  • Lettuce (Amish Deer Tongue)
  • Onion (White Lisbon Bunching)
  • Cucumber (Armenian)
  • Kale (Blue Curled Scotch)
  • Hot Pepper (Fish)
  • Carrot (Danvers 126)
  • Radish (Early Scarlet Globe)
  • Watermelon (Georgia Rattlesnake)

Time: 4 to 5 pm 

Location: Grayson County Library
