Science Fiction Book Club

Wythe County Public Library

Read books that will transport you to the future or to a galaxy far, far away. Discuss authors and adventurers who explore strange new worlds, who seek out new life and new civilizations. Watch films of those who boldly go where no one has gone before.

Each month has a particular theme or author, listed below. Choose any book from that month’s theme/author. At each club meeting (every 1st Wednesday at 10 am at Wythe County Public Library) there will be a discussion and a screening of a science fiction film.

JANUARY (no meeting Jan 1)
Library closed for the holiday.

FEBRUARY (meeting Feb 5)
Any book by Arthur C. Clarke. Bonus Sci-Fi movie to be shown!

MARCH (meeting Mar 4)
The book “Through Wolf’s Eyes” by Jane Lindskold. Bonus Sci-Fi movie to be shown!

APRIL (meeting Apr 1)
Any book by Roger Zelanzy. Bonus Sci-Fi movie to be shown!

MAY (meeting May 6)
ACE double novels. Bonus Sci-Fi movie to be shown!

JUNE (meeting Jun 3)
Any book by David Drake. Bonus Sci-Fi movie to be shown!
